Does anyone else buy based on the label and regret it later?

I picked up something last week purely because the jar looked good, which is a designer problem I accept. It was fine, but I could not tell you a single thing about how it was grown. How do you actually decide?

    I would rather see a grow date than a nice jar, but I am biased. Does anything you buy list one?

    Following up on my own thread: I have started writing down what I paid before I look at the jar. Small thing, changes the decision.
